So I was thinking about platform sharing/rebranding across manufacturers owned by the same parent companies, and it all seems pretty normal right now... but what if it wasn't? I mean, there's some weird possibilities out there... I thought of some just as a few examples, but if you've got some more, feel free to drop them in the comments. And if you're good at photoshop and want to make some of these, go right ahead!
1. A Lexus based on the FR-S
2. A GMC based on the Corvette
3. A Skoda based on the Aventador
4. A Jeep based on the LaFerrari
5. a Daewoo based on the Camaro
6. a Maybach based on an SLS AMG
Obviously none of these "proposed models" would fit properly in any of the brands' lineups, but it's weird to think about how potentially easy it would be to make some weird shit from preexisting platforms and brands.

A Dodge based on an Alfa Romeo

Thing is, a Lexus FR-S isn't too far fetched. Give it a hybrid drive, ugly it up some and leather up the inside and boom....lexus.

As GMC is more traditionally a truck brand, I will assume that a GMC based on the Corvette would be a Corvette with a hastily-added factory ute conversion.

I see what you did there....
What about a Jeep on an Alfa Romeo?

I would buy a Lexus FR-s in a heartbeat.

While that would work, I'm thinking more a Corvette with a more clean-lined grill (open), different headlight/interior options, and of course a bed. Compare/contrast the '98s below.
As a side note, there's something wacky in the very top of the first pic - Olds hot rod or something?

I had suggested a 4dr FR-S be added to the Lexus lineup a while back. In fact, I think my idea had been to make it the new IS, thug bringing it back in line with the original IS300 concept.
The second one, a GMC Corvette, is a bit harder. I think a lot of people on here are right that GMC is traditionally more for trucks. So how about this idea:
GMC Corvette Dune Buggy!

It might be cool to make a small sporty lexus sedan based on the FRS, kinda like a new version of the IS300

I may be way off, but i would think it's a 50s/60s GM pickup to stick with the theme.
and yeah open center grille is cool with me, i was just saying its not like there isn't precedence for a GMC truck/car

My point is, it's funnier to imagine a lazy ute version of the Corvette with GMC grille than a GMC version of the SSR. YMMV.

Yes, it is primarily a truck brand, hence why a Corvette in the GMC lineup would be so foreign and unusual.
Having a ute version would be badass though...

Yeah, the GMC-Corvette doesn't fit at all, which is why it's in this list. It's a strange idea, which is kind of what the posts intention was. :P
